If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Taleigao, Goa, make sure to stop by Cafe Ananta, a hidden gem located conveniently beside the Honda Service Centre. This cafe isn’t just about filling your belly; it’s about experiencing the warm hospitality that Goa is famous for. With a welcoming atmosphere and an inviting staff led by the ever-charismatic Mr. Bharat, you’ll feel at home the moment you step through the doors.

At Cafe Ananta, the star of the show is definitely the food, particularly their delicious Thali offerings. Imagine a vibrant platter filled with diverse flavors — the Veg Thali is a vegetarian delight, boasting a myriad of textures and tastes that celebrate local ingredients. Seafood lovers will rejoice in the variety available, including Prawns Thali, Bangal Thali, and King Fish Thali, each one promising a fresh catch, succulent and packed with flavor. Each bite takes you on a journey through traditional Goan cooking, making it a must-try for anyone seeking genuine local cuisine.

The sensory experience only deepens with dishes like the Veg Kadai and Mushroom Masala, perfectly spiced and deliciously aromatic. Complement your meal with a hot cup of Veg Manchow Soup or indulge in the crispy delight of Gobi Manchurian. Whatever you choose, the satisfaction is consistent, making every visit a memorable one.

Sonia Creado beautifully expressed her appreciation for Cafe Ananta, stating, “the food is truly outstanding — I’ve never had a better Thali in Goa!” Such genuine love for their offerings typifies the devotion and dedication the staff pours into their work. Another patron, Kunal Dalvi, couldn't help but rave about the Goan bhajo pao, noting it as the best he’s ever tasted, and the samosas come highly recommended, too, proving that even small bites pack a mighty punch.

Every meal comes with an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and inviting, perfect for families or friends looking to unwind after a day of exploration. Plus, with an array of refreshing drinks like Kokum Soda and Lima Soda, you can wash down those delectable curries and rice dishes in style.

Prices are reasonable, particularly given the quality and freshness of the ingredients, making Cafe Ananta not just a meal, but a true culinary experience. As Pravin Surjuse noted, “Hot and fresh food, genuinely Goan taste, good rates for good food” — a sentiment that's sure to resonate with anyone wishing to indulge in the authentic flavors of Goa.

In a nutshell, if you’re in the area, don’t miss out on Cafe Ananta. Your palate will thank you!

Café Ananta in Taleigao has captured my heart with its warm hospitality and phenomenal Goan cuisine! Mr. Bharat and his team deliver exceptional customer service from the moment you step in. The food is truly outstanding - I've never had a better Thali in Goa! Their diverse options, including Prawns, Bangda, Chonak, Lepo, and occasional Pomfret and Kingfish, have set a new standard. We find ourselves comparing other eateries to Café Ananta, a testament to their excellence. While the ambiance could be enhanced, the flavor and value for money make it easy to overlook. As a foodie, I highly recommend this hidden gem. The reasonable rates have made it our go-to spot, almost like a second home in Goa for delicious homemade food. We dine here twice a week, and I've already recommended it to many. Don't miss out on this local favorite!

Happen to pass by that road around 230 in the afternoon as it was already late in the afternoon and it being the election day, all the restaurants in Panjim were shut, but I found Anand restaurant was open and I was very hungry. I had my wife with me, as it did not look from outside family friendly, so I was elected to enter, but once I went there and talk to the owner, I decided to eat there. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. I had Mudso thali which was excellent at that rate, so all in all it’s very good , good value for money, except the ambience. If he can little bit upgrade, it will be an excellent place to eat in the afternoon like Thali, specially going food, but overall, if you are solo or with a friend, you can always go there and have a bite and enjoy Lefo mudso Thali, it’s worth it
